No Date Nights For Kourtney K

Most new parents value the odd date night you manage to squeeze in post baby- and believe me, it often isn't all that easy, for a variety of reasons. And before I had Nahla, i never realized just how hard leaving your baby with someone else really is! It sort of feels like what it must feel to leave a limb behind, like not bringing a part of yourself. This particular feeling I think is really a mummy thing. Even though off course it feels strange for dads too, leaving their little munchkins at home to go out, whether for dinner, a movie or; the ultimate test; a romantic weekend away, for new mummies this is different, as you have literally been attached to your baby since those first times you ever felt it flutter and kick inside you. And; for the record, BF and I have managed about 3(!) date nights in 7 months- granted we have been for the most part living in different countries, but still.

And it turns out celebrity mummies are much like us regular new mums in that regard. Kourtney Kardashian and BF and Baby Daddy Scott Disick have apparently ditched date nights for family nights since the arrival of little Mason last December. The reality star mama recently told US Weekly, "It's different now because we take Mason with us everywhere. We don't really have date night because we go out as a family." I hear her, being out and about with your very own little family is AMAZING, and I love it more than I could have ever imagined. But still, it also feels like a treat to every now and again, leaving Nahla in the hands of my mum, or sister, or same on BF's side, sneaking out for a romantic date, just the two of us. And let's face it; it there is ever going to be a little baby brother or sister for Nahla- not that that is about to happen anytime soon though- Mummy and Daddy need to keep the spark going!
