It turns out I have been missing out big time! All along there has been this most AMAZINGLY stylish online interiors magazine floating around- and I NEVER EVEN KNEW! Now, thanks to my very sweet and equally design obsessed friend C (thank you!), I have been introduced to the world of Lonny- and if you have even a smidgen of interest in the field of All Things Beautiful, it is totally worth checking out!
Stuffed with photos of spaces so stylish and beautiful you could crawl into them and live there, Lonny, being an online only publication, is not limited by page count, meaning it is like a really thick, really glossy magazine; and all at your fingertips! SO GENIUS! Having worked in magazines, I know this is a huge deal, and as a journalist it is totally interesting to see how many still-in-paper-edition of other magazines will follow suit. I, being a bit old school about this, feel that, much as I love the accessibility of online publications, there is nothing quite like curling up on the sofa at the end of the day, with a glossy new magazine to read, pages that smell all shiny and new, and preferably a cup of hot chocolate in hand! But, as I said, this reading stuff online is totally taking off and changing media at the speed of light- and Lonny is right up there at the forefront!
According to their mission statement, "Lonny value independent thinking and believe not in following trends but rather in making choices that lead to happiness. We believe that good design and affordable design can coexist and that true inspiration can be found in the teeniest of homes or in the grandest of spaces." AMEN TO THAT!
