What A Day!
Curled up on the sofa with a large glass of Zinfandel- summer isn't summer without rosé- I can only conclude with the fact that this was some day! 17.th of May is always a very important day to all Norwegians, and today most certainly so. My little girl's very very first Norwegian National Day! I was one proud mummy as I pushed her around in her newly cleaned Bugaboo for the parade. Flags were stuck to her pram. Her outfit was very Norwegian- at least in color. The sun was beaming down. Bestemor and Bestefar was smiling for Norway as they got to show their very first grandchild off to the world. Ice-creams were eaten. National anthems sung. Blisters gotten after a day in heels. Champagne on the balcony. A dinner fit for kings. And now, beautiful baby asleep in her bed, the midnight-sun lingering over the mountains, a film on TV and my family all around. Bliss.
