Today was a big day for my little munchkin, as she was invited to her very first birthday party! Little Blanka, whose mum and I met years and moons ago at university, was turning 1 today and we were invited along to celebrate in true kiddie-birthday party style with hotdogs, jello, cakes and balloons. The joy! Nahla, Blanka and the other little people played, crawled, mashed cake into the carpet and marveled at the balloons till their heart's content. And the mummies drank coffee, ate the cake our little hopefuls had disposed of and all in all had one of those great and heartwarming afternoons that makes you feel so lucky for having such amazing friends. And, sure when we were allowed to bring some balloons home with us when it was time to go, I think Nahla was saturated with pure happy baby bliss!
