Happy Halloween!
Today was Nahla's very first Halloween- and what a day for my little Pumpkin Princess! In true family tradition, we celebrated this spooky day in my auntie and uncle's house, where every year my uncle ensures that the entire neighborhood in both scared to near-death as well as very much entertained with his Over The Top Halloween decorations. And trust me, I am talking proper cool stuff. Think sculls popping out of the rubbish bin by the road- accompanied by scary laughing and ever creepier music. Skeletons that come flying across the lawn towards the front door when it rings. The car starting up- driven by a ghost- when people walk down the drive. And that is just some of it! Every year he gets more technical and more advanced in his decorations- ensuring that the local kids are taken by surprise- and heart-jumping frights- every year when they approach No. 4! Seriously cool stuff!
Anyway, it was a day- and night- to remember- for both little and bigger! Happy Spooky Lovely Family Filled Day!
The house was decked out for an almighty Halloween celebration. My auntie is party planner extraordinaire!
The children were in costumes, each one scarier than the next. Cute little girlies!
The "bloody" cupcakes and scary witches' fingers were yum.
As were the little mice buns. Almost too cute to eat! But not quite!
Nahla and Tante Tonje are the best of friends- and had fun at the dinner table...
... while teeny tiny little Emine Sofie slept though the whole party in her "Too Cute To Spook" outfit!
And now, all partied out and cleaned up and home, Nahla is fast asleep in her bed, surely dreaming of witches and mice and all things nice! While Mummy is curled up with a glass of ice-cold diet Coke (my ONLY vice!) and James Bond on TV- perfect end to a perfect day!
xoxo from us!
