How cute! Buffy alumn Sarah Michelle Gellar, 34, was spotted in L.A. this week escorting her adorable ballerina to class. How cute does 2-year old Charlotte look in her tutu?!
The actress looked stylish donning sunglasses, a quilted leather jacket, an Alexander McQueen scarf (I have one in navy and red and I LOVE it!) and some black boots. Gellar recently dished about motherhood and life with Charlotte in a magazine interview:
"Charlotte is my best friend, and any free time I have, I want to spend with her. But while it's easy to forget yourself, I can't define myself as only Charlotte's mother—one day, she's going to be an adult, and then where am I? Like in any other relationship, you have to remember who you are through all this. After she goes to bed at 7:30, I might take a bath or read. And Freddie and I get our time together, too. Relationships are like flowers: They need attention to grow and develop. You have to make time to be there for the other person. Luckily, Charlotte's a sound sleeper, so once she's down, we can have friends over and have dinner and conversation and not worry."
I so get where she is coming from! Nahla, right now in most ways, is my whole world. I savour every moment, miss her when I have to be away and just generally think spending time with her is the funnest thing I have ever done. And at the same time I know I have to also make time for me. For my friends and family, For my relationship. I know by doing so I will not only be a better friend/girlfriend/sister/daughter, but also, and most importantly, a better mother. But little by little, and maybe as a 2012 resolution, I will be able to find a little more balance in my life as a mother and just life as being me. Hard though, to make changes when in the bottom of your heart you feel like you are having the time of your life, doing the best thing you have ever done and spending time with someone more amazing than you have ever spent time with before!
