Happy Saturday!

The sun is shining, the temperature is slowly, but surely, creeping upwards, my bump is 33(!) weeks today and LIFE IS GOOD!

How Could It Be...

... that Friday is here again already?! But it sure is - and I am not complaining!

Friday Is Here!

The best day of the week; hands down! Wishing you all a sweet weekend filled with bubbles, cupcakes and lots and lots of fun!

Weekend Hightlights

A Mother's Day card from Nahla that made me cry. OK, so I'm pregnant and hormonal, so it doesn't take all that much to get me going, but still; how sweet is this poem?!

Being served breakfast in bed by my two loves. After being allowed to snuggle under the covers till well after 10 am. I am one lucky mama!

My little tiggeriffic Tiger was pretty pleased to have her face painted - again. 

The arrival of my latest order from My-Wardrobe.com. I LOVE how fast and amazing their service is! 

Weather spring-y enough for my little munchkin to wear her her new tops that we bought from Etsy. Seriously; LOVE Etsy!

So all in all; who can complain about it being Monday again when our weekend was as good as this?!

How Can It Be Monday Again?!

This past weekend just whizzed by in a whirl of activities - as per usual. Balletclass (Nahla), Spa-appointment for maternity massage - which was utter bliss (me) and putting together a chest-of-drawer for the baby (BF). As well as the usual cleaning, cooking, washing, shopping, lunching kind of stuff that goes down on any given weekend. It never cease to amaze me just how quickly those hours between Friday afternoon and Monday morning  go by.

And now; back to Monday, work and deadlines. Again. Maternity leave countdown: 7 weeks!

On This Rainy Day...

... Nahla is off from school, and hence we are busy girls with about a million errands to run. But sure that doesn't matter in the slightest, because today is FRIDAY! Which we all know is one thing: The absolute best day of the week!

Nothing Beats...

... that Friday feeling! Seriously; after a long work-filled hectic week, Friday always feels so AMAZING. That feeling of knowing you have 2 whole days of freedom in front of you; nothing, but nothing can beat it!

This Weekend...

I found the most amazing little when-your-energy-drops life saver to keep in my bag at all times. Seriously, all pregnant mamas should gave one nearby for those my-bloodsugar-is-low-I-am-in-danger-of-killing-someone moments. Tastes so yum, is totally better for you than a packet of M'n'M's and will have you back to your normal self in a heartbeat. Must buy!

I treated myself to a KeepCup - this clever take-away cup that you can bring with you and get barristas to make you latte into - as it is a standard barrista size. Very clever and tres environmental friendly. Oh, and not to mention pretty. Triple points.

We stocked up on fruit and veg for the week at Dublin's best - in my opinion - food market, Fallon & Byrne. Seeing how Nahla does not like meat, and me not so much either - especially in this pregnancy it seems - we need to broaden our horizons when it comes to cooking vegetarian. So watch this space...

We drove to Cork - which to you not in the know is all the way down south in Ireland - and stayed in the lovely River Lee Hotel for a night. So while the rain poured down outside, this lil' family stayed snug in a 5-star hotel and sipped hot chocolate in the hotel bar, snuggled in our room and off course, visited the lovely hotel swimming pool (daddy and Nahla) and spa (mama).

So all in all, a weekend of utter bliss and family fun. Just as we like it!

Scenes From The Weekend

Weekends come and go by much too fast in this household - as I am sure they do for all other busy young families. And this weekend which has nearly wrapped is no different. The weather as absolutely freezing, which resulted in a lot of time spent cuddles up inside. Family lunch in town, ballet classes and a couple of shopping outings rounded the weekend off perfectly. Mummy got stocked up on some beauty goodies. Nahla got her very first (proper) pair of ballet slippers. The weekend papers were skimmed through in between everything else that went down, and all in all; we are relaxed and ready for the week ahead!

That Friday Feeling...

... when you have 7 articles under your belt from the week that just wrapped up. When you have navigated crazy traffic and torrential rain and then finally get to curl up at home. When plans are made for a cosy family weekend. When BF are out for Friday drinks with workmates and me and mini can have a total girl's night in. When you have candles burning and green tea brewing. When you know your bed is made up with fresh bedlinens upstairs. When all is right with the world.

Weekends Go By Too Fast...

... and before you know it, Monday is upon us again. And as if to make it worse; it is raining kittens outside my windows. On the day that I have to leg it into town to meet up with some very cool girlies for lunch. But hey; what's a little Monday Blues when the weekend was as sweet as it was!

 Friday started with a trip to the hairdressers for this mama. Because when the rest of you is getting bigger by the day, at least making sure your hair looks fab, is a total feel-good treat!

Nahla was all excited about the prospect of chocolate brownie as a lunch treat at the stunning Carton House yesterday, where we went for a walk - and scoot - around the magnificent grounds...

Seriously; could it BE more country fabulous?! On a crisp cold January day, none the less.

And now: Ready for the week!

Short Week

... and yet nothing beats that Friday afternoon feeling! Collecting Nahla from playschool, heating up the yummy dinner purchased in Avoca earlier and getting into my PJ-bottoms long before I really should; Hello Weekend!

TGIF

PJ-bottoms, thick socks, candles, tidy house, fresh flowers, BF making dinner, TV, fresh magazines stacked on my table, toddler out of bath and ready for bed. Life is good!

Fresh End...

... to an even fresher day! This mama is all played out after hours of park, playtime and family fun!

Few Things Beat...

... going to bed on a Sunday night when you know tomorrow is a Bank Holiday Monday - meaning an extra day off. Hello extended-weekend-feeling! JOY!

Laid Back Fashion Choices...

... are perfect for Sundays. Especially when your Saturday consisted of road-trip with BF, hotel-stay, dinner on the town, LOTS of cocktails, 30th birthday party, more drinks in the residence bar and up early-ish to get home to collect toddler from very-kind-to-babysit grandparents! My (3rd pair and counting!) Zara jeans are so comfy I could wear them every day, and as for the jumper; new FAVORITE wardrobe piece picked up in Oslo, with the words Good Girl on the front, and GONE BAD on the back. Am slightly obsessed.

Sunday Means Funday

And not just to us regular folks, but if these snaps are anything to go by, the hip and happening people of Hollywood are also more than happy to spend this most relaxing day of the week with their favorite little people, having buckets of fun!

Proud papa Scott Disick took little Mason to the beach and clearly enjoyed some man-on-man time to themselves. Mama Kourtney was nowhere to be seen, meaning she could be back home enjoying some mummy-daughter time with little Penelope Scotland.

The Alba-Warrens looked adorable as always when they were spotted in Coldwater Canyon Park this weekend. Talk about good genes!

And across town saw Jennifer Garner enjoying some one-on-one time with oldest daughter Violet. What a cute pair!

Family Fun Day...

... sure takes it out of you - or me to tell you the truth. Having face-painted sixteen spidermen, countless princesses, some butterflies, a couple of tigers, more than a few clowns, a zombie and what I swear felt like 400 pirates, this mama was SO happy to be sinking into the sofa with a rather large glass of wine, homemade pizza and the softest, most well-worn Juicy-bottoms ever. Roll on back-to-back episodes of Kourtney and Kim take New York on E! Entertainment channel!

Hello Friday

Nothing beats the feeling of a Friday night, sure? That feeling that the weekend is only just beginning and that you have two whole days of down-time with family in front of you. And as for this little family this Friday evening: A clean house, fresh flowers from the Grafton Street flower market, Prosecco and tak-out sushi. B.L.I.S.S, Happy weekend!
