... hot chocolate. An Eve Lom face mask. Lots of magazines borrowed from work (the beauty of working for a magazine publishers!) and the knowledge that tomorrow is Friday. B.L.I.S.S!

Happiness is...

... an AMAZING new top from All Saints (30% off in the sales!), my daily caffeine fix taken care of and some Starbucks Mini Caramel Waffles- bought originally as a treat for BF since he had to work on a Sunday- but sure we just had to have a sneaky taste... Oh- and the Sunday Times Style supplement just waiting to be read! Who doesn't LOVE Sundays?!

Happiness is...

... putting on my brand new flannel PJ's, curl up on the sofa to drink hot chocolate and watch Bridget Jones' The Edge of Reason before going to bed in a freshly made up and already-warm-by-sleeping-BF bed! B.L.I.S.S!

Happiness is...

... a box set of Ugly Betty (yes, really!), freshly pedicured toes (Chanel Rouge Noir- always a classic AND goes with my witch outfit for tomorrow!) and a tall glass of yummy yummy chai tea latte! Sweet dreams! xoxo

The PERFECT Chai Tea Latte:
(Enough for 2- people or glasses!)

2 tea-bags black or spice tea
1-2 cinnamon sticks
1-2 teaspoons of ground nutmeg
1-2 teaspoons of brown demera sugar
2-3 teaspoons of ground cloves
a pinch of ground ginger
2 dl low-fat milk (I use soy)
Mix all the ingredients in a small pot, add 1 dl of water, stir and bring to the boil. Let simmer for 4-5 minutes, then remove cinnamon sticks, strain and serve. YUM. Perfect perfect with chocolate chip cookies! (Just saying!)

... drinking a cup of peppermint tea while still in my pj's, while Nahla plays with her toys on the floor. Motherhood is all about finding happiness in the small things!

... Friday night, rain on my window, book in my lap, baby in bed and wine in my glass.

... that despite the fact that the house is a mess, I have suitcases everywhere, the fridge is we've-been-away kind of empty, a dentist appointment is looming tomorrow and my credit card bill just arrived, I have never in my life been happier! Who cares that toys are scattered across the floor and the pile of laundry is growing by the hour when you have the most beautiful baby in the world sleeping peacefully in the next room, 7 months of mummy wisdom under your belt and a future full of laughter and love!
