Mummy Mornings...

... means that while you try and find your Zen while you knock back a cup of hot water with lemon and ginger (eat your heart out, Miranda Kerr!).....

... you might also have to spoon yoghurt into a zombie-like-cartoon-watching toddler, hang up lots of little clothes to dry, empty the dishwasher and clean up after a serious train crash. Did anyone say multi-tasking?

Way Too Crumbly Banana Bread...

... still tasted yum according to both Nahla and Mummy. Banana bread is made on an almost weekly basis here in this house, as: 1. It is the perfect way to use up bananas that have started going black, and: 2. Nahla LOVES it. But last night I decided to do some experimenting, and used half and half spelt flour and almond flour - which I have never attempted baking with before. And it turned out SUPER TASTY. But as both spelt and almond flour soak up more liquid than ordinary flour, I just have to remember to add more bananas and a little drop of water into the next batch. You live and learn!

Homemade Musli-Bars...

... are a great start to a rainy morning. And SO quick and easy to make, you can do them on a weekday, and not have to wait till the weekend. YUM! Now; all I need is my morning Nespresso, and I am ready for some work!

Another Day...

... another fabulous maternity outfit for Kourtney K. Seriously; I am the only one who feels a little sad that this pregnancy will come to an end very shortly, and there will be no more bump-inspiring snaps of the gorgeous reality mama - for a while anyway. Something tells me that as the eldest of 6; Kourt isn't going to stop at just two herself. Thank God!

Hairy Fantasies

I am having a little hair-crises at the moment. Ok, major. Like; I cannot seem to decide whether to stay blonde-blonde, or whether I should have a darker - and sultrier - summer, and add a lot of lowlights into my tresses to take it into blonette-territory. I am IN LOVE with this last pictures - that is like my dream hair colour, hands down. Not blonde, not brunette, but something in the middle.

But then again; I am also crushing on the big hair, blonde bombshell look.

And my whole crisis is totally being magnified by the fact that I have spent the last few days writing about hair styles and hair fashion, and am being exposed to amazing hair pictures left, right and centre.

And as I am planning a major session at the hair dressers this very week; I better decide quickly!

Today's To-Do List

This is what I needed to do today:

1. Get a hold of two different fashion expert (the minute somebody can title themselves an expert, they become IMPOSSIBLE to get a hold of, trust me) and ask them their opinion on extreme platform shoes and responsible fashion.

2.  Re-write an article from last week.

3. Source a whole bunch of images.

4. Interview 13 different "celebrities" about what makes them feel good.

5. Interview 3 hairdressers about anti-aging hair-cuts.

6. Interview a "wax-pert" about how to get the smoothest bikini line possible (seriously, my job rocks!)

7. Do up all my lists to get sent in to the payroll-department in work.

This is what I did today:

1. Checked my e-mails.

2. Felt rather overwhelmed at the sight of the 217 unopened e-mails.

3. Made 3 really strong espressos.

4. Got a hold of one fashion expert - who told me he'd get back to me three days AFTER my deadline.

5. Virtually filled a little Net-a-Porter shopping-trolley. Then cancelled it an hour later, when I remembered I don't actually have a spare 1,716 euros to spend.

6. Tried to get an hairdresser to tell me how to anti-age your hair - unsuccessfully.

7. Thew my arms up and went out to dinner with BF and Nahla.

Let's hope tomorrow is looking more effective in the work department!

Toddler Favorites

I don't know about other toddlers, but my one definitively prefers her plate to be organized and her food to be separated. Like; in this case, the fishcakes can not touch the ketchup - until she herself dips it in. The vegetables cannot touch any of the other bits either. And if we are having pasta and sauce, the sauce and the pasta must also never meet until Nahla actually makes them herself. Enter this genius plate this clever mama bought in Paris last weekend. I love when things make me and Nahla equally happy - like here; I am happy because she will actually eat this whole meal - and she is happy because she, the little control-freak-in-the-making, can do so with her food still clean and pure from one another! Score!

A Leaf Out Of Kourtney's Book

Seriously; when I do decide it is time for no. 2, I am so planning on letting my maternity style be utterly influenced by the eldest Kardashian sister and her too-cute-for-words bump style! So cute!

Happy Birthday To Me!

And this little family celebrated with a good old-fashioned birthday party before Mummy and Daddy headed into Dublin to indulge in a night's stay in the amazing Dylan Hotel, tapas dinner in our favorite Salamanca's and lots and lots of bellinis! Hello 32!

Chocolate Chip Cookies

This chocolate chip cookie recipe from my new vegetarian cookbook was so easy and foolproof I just had to try it out earlier. And this really is my kinda baking; quick to throw together, quick to cook, and voila; you can kick back and enjoy the fruits of your labour in no time! Recipe will follow!
