Today's Yummy Mummy Style Crush

Anine Bing, fashion designer, model and absolute yummy mama extraordinaire. I AM in LOVE with this combination of floaty summer dress, biker jacket and Converse, and am now praying for the weather to heat up so I can rock a similar look! Anine, who writes a mummy blog for Swedish magazine Mama, is currently pregnant on her baby no. 2 - and is making maternity dressing seem like the coolest thing in the world! Amaze.

And I am in NEED of a comfy day dress like this!

Victoria's Secret Angel Allesandra Ambrosio rocked red as well when she was pregnant with son Noah last year. 

And who can help but be mucho inspired by the always fashionable Miroslava Duma and her perfect take on pregnant boho-chic?! LOVE!

Now; I feel ready to hit the shops to upgrade my maternity wardrobe!

22 Weeks...

... and feeling HUGE. But still reluctant to move into maternity wear! Which is why today I was rocking my nicely empire-fitted Nicole Fahri dress - which is at least 6 years old, but still a firm wardrobe favorite!

Pant Perfection

Being the obsessive planner that I am, I have already (in my head, mostly - and also somewhat on Pinterest) started compiling lists of outfits I need to have ready in the near future. Most of the fit nicely into categories. Like; there is the "maternity for now - winter" category. The "It's getting warmer, and I am still pregnant" category. Then there is the hospital bag stuff, off course. And the: "I have just given birth, but it is summer, and I still wanna look good" clothes I need to assemble. And then I saw these pictures from the upcoming season of Kourtney and Kim Take Miami and decided I had almost forgotten about a whole category of outfits! Hello! Clearly I need to stock up on clothes for the "newborn baby, most of the time is spent at home, on the sofa, with your boob out" phase! Which - in fairness, having lived through it all before, does last a good few weeks. And while you need to mix it up (with outfits from the other categories like "I have just given birth, but it is summer, and I still wanna look good" clothes, the chill-out-around-the-house-breastfeeding-newborn clothes will be mucho important. 

And these pants that the ever-stylish Kourtney is rocking while tending to little Penelope, are PERFECT! Chic, with a nod to the tribal-ish trend and looks oh-so-comfortable! In other words; I HAVE TO HAVE THEM. And as for the comfortable cardigan; that too, off course. 

Shops; here I come!

Royal Inspiration

Finally! After rumor mills have been in overdrive practically since she walked down the aisle in THAT dress, Kate has finally admitted that; YES; SHE IS INDEED PREGNANT! And although currently hospitalized with severe morning sickness, I am sure that when she is back in form again, she will be out there rocking maternity designer wear with the best of them!

 And I am grateful for a little inspiration, because frankly; just looking to Coleen Rooney - who is due in May like myself - for some bump-wear ideas, will get to you pretty soon. There is only so much orange tan, fur collars and leopard prints a girl can take....

Winter Is Here...

... and the mornings are COLD. Seriously; this morning - which started extra early courtesy of Nahla being up with a stomach bug since 6.25 - there was frost on the ground. Brrr. Time to hit the shops for a new winter coat, I think. One that will be forgiving to my expanding-by-the-day tummy!

I Have A Dream...

I am having a major lust-attack on this amazing 3.1 Philip Lim bag. Seriously, I NEED this bag. Like, hoe perfect is it?? It has handy compartments, that cool zip detail, and I just know I could fit all my work essentials and my I-just-need-to-carry-it-around mummy-stuff. Like extra underpants for a potty-training toddler. And a bib. And lots of clean-it-all wipes. And emergency make-up. And a fair few plastic trains. I mean; if you are gonna lug just about your whole life around with you at all times, you might as well do it in style!

Another Day...

... another fabulous maternity outfit for Kourtney K. Seriously; I am the only one who feels a little sad that this pregnancy will come to an end very shortly, and there will be no more bump-inspiring snaps of the gorgeous reality mama - for a while anyway. Something tells me that as the eldest of 6; Kourt isn't going to stop at just two herself. Thank God!

OBSESSED.

Ok, so today I got like 400 e-mails. Nothing new there. A ton of them were work related. Press releases. Invitations. Answers to the lots and lots of e-mails I have sent out myself. So far, so boring. Then I got a ton of ad-related e-mails. Which is entirely my own fault, as I keep signing up to all these different newsletter, and am therefor bombarded with them - and I never quite manage to muster up the energy to un-subscribe. 

On any normal day, I tend to delete a lot of these before I even open them. But this afternoon, as I was desperately trying to procrastinate some work I needed to do, I happened to open one from Zara. Their June Lookbook to be precise. Which turned out to be a big mistake. Huge. Because now I have fallen in LUST with this jacket - and decided it needs to be mine - come hell or high water. 

And seeing as tomorrow is my 32 birthday, I decided this would be the perfect present from me to me. The only problem? It is not available yet! And you know where this is going, right? Cue obsessed mama glued to the Zara website waiting for this beauty to be in stock! The-most-perfect-little-jacket-ever-made; you are going to be mine!

A Reason To Dress Up

When you work from home (or, in my case, the local coffee-place/deli-shop/anywhere that serves good coffee and homebaked goods), you don't really get to participate in the joys of getting dressed up for a day at the office. And sometimes, I really miss those days! The whole laying-out-the-outfit-the-night-before rituale, the swift under-desk shoe changes before important meetings, the just-nipping-into-the-nearest-Zara on your lunchbreak, the comparing of outfits, the lot.

These days, work couture consists mostly somewhere between skinny jeans/converse/Acne-boots or Juicy bottoms and knitted socks! Oh the glamour of out-of-office journalism!

But today, I have totally pulled out all the stops, because the minute I close the laptop for the day, this busy mama is heading into the city for an evening of girly fun, cocktails, movie date and dinner! Heels? Hell yeah!

Dressing When Pregnant...

... comes easier to some people than to others. And as for as Kristin Cavalleri is concerned, I totally plan to channel her style when I feel ready to embark on baby no. 2! I HEART how effortless this reality mama-to-be is looking, the casual tee and yellow blazer is such a fab and weekend-perfect combo!

Today's Yummy Mummy Style Crush

The hands of time seem to barely touch ex-supermodel Cindy Crawford. The 45-year old looks more like the older sister of her equally gorgeous daughter Kaia, 10, than her mother. Clearly Kaia is not just genetically blessed by her mother, but has also inherited her great taste in fashion. What a stylish pair!



Jessica Alba and her little mini-me Honor Marie, 3, were spotte das they attended the opening of a new Splendid store in Beverly Hills over the weekend. Looks like little Honor is well ready for winter in her cute coat and hat ensemble!
Jessica, who is looking totally back to her fab self following the birth of her second daughter, Haven Garner, in August, claims it was pre-natal yoga and just eating sensibly that stopped her gaining too much weight during her second pregnancy. And clearly it worked, as this yummy mama is looking super-hot for the holidays!

... of the fact that I have mastered the art of wearing heels on a daily basis AND still being able to push a pram/jump through leaves/toddler-chase/juggle handbags and holding hands! Go mummy-ing in heels!

Princess Panties

This morning, as this mama was walking around the house in nothing but these cute little things (oh, and a t-shirt, relax!), sweet little Nahla excitedly exclaims: "Mummy has on princess panties!" Thank you, Nahla, for always making mummy feel like a princess!

Girls' Day Out

I fell in love with this sweet mother-and-daughter fashion spread in the latest issue of Kamille Mor & Barn that I picked up in the basement in work the other day (yet another benefit of working for a big magazine house, there are like magazines everywhere you turn! My magazine shopping expenses has dropped dramatically since I started this job!).

Anyway, back to fashion spread. I think it just look like such a sweet day out, and cannot wait to share so many of these days with my very own little princess! Note to self: It will more than likely be another couple of years, as Nahla is currently going through a "I-hate-shops-and-must-torture-Mummy-with-proper-terrible-two's-meltdowns-whenever-she-goes-near-a-shop" phase. Which I am hoping will pass. Soon. But after that, oh all the mama and baby shopping we will indulge in for sure!

The mother-of-two was snapped arriving at a party in Liverpool over the weekend - along with a host of other WAGs and highly pampered yummy mummies.
