A Fun Winter Break...

... is coming to an end, and tomorrow this mama and Nahla are heading back down to Oslo before flying home to Dublin on Sunday morning. So so long snow, cold and winter and hello almost spring-time!

Only One More Week...

... till this mother/daugthter duo once again heads for Oslo and some sweet family time! Also, as Oslo Fashion Week is well under way then, this mama is hoping to sneak in some show-time will devoted Bestemor (Grandmother) babysits my little munchkin. And as our week in Oslo will come to an end, sure Daddy arriving a week in the Greek isles doesn't sound to shabby either. Hello; summer!

Days Of Our Lives

Mummy has successfully tricked Nahla into thinking raw-food bars are sweets. Mental high-five to me!

We have been to the Zoo again - and concluded that Nahla is not really all that into animals yet. Except for giraffes... For some strange reason.

Nahla got her very fist love-letter! From very cute Connor in her playschool. Daddy had minor melt-down as he now envisions his life a few years from now, having to fend off smitten teenage boys...

Nahla had a "bitch-stole-my-look" moment with the zebra in Dublin Zoo...

Pink dip-dye hair was a roaring success with our very pink-loving 2-year old...

Little Emine Sofie, who is on a week's holiday with us in Ireland, also got to enjoy the zoo - and the sleeping tigers...

And two little cousins are loving each others company and wake up every morning calling each other. Heart-melting stuff. 

Beautiful Edinburgh...

... was truly magical! Here are just some of my Instagram snaps from this very lovely weekend spnt with my very amazing family. To put it shortly: We walked a lot, ate a lot, shopped a lot, sightsee-d a lot, played a lot, slept a lot and loved a lot! Perfect perfect days in this very gorgeous city!

Days in Oslo...

... are always such a sweet treat of time spent with people we love.


Nahla and Emine got to play lots, and it is such a joy to see the little cousins grow closer and closer.


Nahla got to play with Oliver's cool boy-toys on a trip to a dear friend's house, and Mummy got to catch up with sweet sweet colleagues in work.


My little city-girl loved being back in her birth-city. And Mummy always loves it too, even the chance to stock up on fresh norwegian magazines is always such a treat!


Mummy treated herself to a new cool notebook - after all; what journalist would ever leave the house without a notepad and pen?? And after even more cousin-cuddles, Nahla and Mummy packed the bags again, this time for a two-week stint up northm with lots more time with family and friends! LOVE.

My Limited Time To Blog...

... has had a lot to do with our super-cute visitors last week! My lil sis and super-mega-cute Emine Sofie. So so precious watching our two little munchkins play away. Although, it was nore a case of Nahla bossing poor little Emine around, and Emine dancing to Nahla's beat. But that how it is, I guess!

Time Flies...

... and little Emine Sofie, who, really, we feel like was only born like yesterday, is already 14 1/2 months and very quickly learning the odd trick from her cousin Nahla.

De-Limbed

Sometimes - when you have two one-year olds making a mess of your house, like Nahla and Emine were doing here last night, accidents happen. Luckily, this time, it was neither of our munchkins that were harmed, but instead Nahla's baby-doll - unnamed as Nahla only has a mild interest in dolls as of yet.

So anyway, in a fight over who got to play with the doll, the poor things' arm came off. At which point Nahla, who up until Emine wanted to play with it, never had shown any interest whatsoever in the freakin' doll, turned to Emine and went: "Emine broke Nahla's doll!" I fear I have a mini-drama-queen on my hands...

Sweet Celebrations

Friday afternoon the whole family gathered to celebrate little Emine Sofie's very first birthday. Which is crazy; I still cannot believe she is 1! It feels like she was only born! The day was filled with family, children, toys, cupcakes and fun, just the way birthdays are meant to. Getting the birthday girl herself to stay still long enough to pose for the cameras, however, was a not entirely easy task all together! (Not even with BF and myself, even though we bribed her with some pink frosting!)

Today is such a gorgeous autumn day. Crips, clear, fresh and lovely. The air feels like toothpaste, the leaves are slowly turning an amazing colour and also, little teeny tiny (who is not so tiny now!) Emine is turning 1! Can you believe it has been a year already!?

... two different girls. It is amazing to look at these pictures, Nahla on top taken mid April last year, and Emine on the bottom, taken earlier today. You never really realize just how fast time goes by until you have children. Yesterday Nahla "celebrated" her 14 month birthday, whist Emine is already 5 1/2 months. In a few more months our two little girls can play together, just like Tonje and I always have. Well, a nice little combination of fighting and playing, just like siblings are meant to do! And I have a feeling Nahla and Emine will be the exact same!

Welcome To My Crib

Nahla had a visit today from her little cousin Emine (who is fast approaching five months and really not that little anymore!) and the two of them looked pretty cute as they chilled out in Nahla's cot for a bit. (Supervised I might add, as Nahla has a tendency to think Emine is like her own personal doll and tries to lift her up and feed her milk!) But cute? Melt my heart!

Our Little Cookies...

... look pretty cute in their brand new little IDENTICAL gingerbread dresses! Note: Trying to get an 8-week old and an almost-11-month old to pose for pictures next to each other was quite the undertaking. Emine cried her little heart out, whilst Nahla was up and down and up again, trying to both poke at her little cousin and pull down the faux-fur throw they were placed on in honor of the photo shoot!
