We HEART Sunny Days And Playground Dates

Today felt more like September than November here in Oslo. The sun was out, the air was crisp yet not cold and Mummy and Nahla figured it would be the perfect day for the park.

At United Bakeries we fueled up with...

... the best hot chocolate in town.

Then made our way to the prettiest park in town; Frognerparken, with its amazing playground Frognerborgen.

Nahla tried the sandbox for THE EVRY FIRST TIME...

... and LOVED it! Lucky we had brought her little bucket and spade!

Watching the other kids is a lot of fun too!

The swings are a little scary...

... but the slides are super-fun!

Converse-clad Mummy is playground appropriate!

Food-on-the-go is a must for busy girls!

Happy played-out Princess is ready for home!

Happy, sunny, blissful day! xoxo

Salmon Salad...

... is perfect for dinner! Easy, healthy and YUM!

Mix a salad of rocket, cherry tomatoes, toasted pine nuts and cubes feta cheese.

Cook 2-3 fillets of salmon in the oven for about 20 minutes. Let it cool, then chop into small pieces and mix with salad.

Make a quick and easy dressing by mixing the juice from one whole lemon, 2-3 tablespoons of good organic olive oil, season with salt and pepper and pour over salad.

ENJOY!

Note: Tastes even better with a glass of ice cold white wine on the side! (Who said Thursdays can't be the new Fridays?!)

My Skin...

... cannot live without my Eve Lom cleanser. Seriously- this is without a doubt THE BEST cleanser ever created. Which is probably why it is considered a cult product by beauty editors world wide. Expensive? Yes. (Around €50 for 100 ml.) But oh-so-worth it. It cleanses, exfoliates and nourish my skin, making every morning and night feel a little spa-like. Which, when you have small children and your bathroom routine has become pretty rushed- is a surefire treat, trust me.
After rubbing in the thick paste all over your face, massage for a minute, then soak the muslin cloth (that comes with) in hot water and gently rub the cleanser off your face. Trust me, it will leave your skin clean, fresh and glowing! Here's to yummier mornings for mummies everywhere! I tend to buy mine at Space NK or Harvey Nichols, but it can also be ordered from here.

The Letter You Don't Want To Get...

... of Santa this year! :)

It Is Hard To Believe...

... that this was me one year ago today. In Bristol, spending time with BF for his birthday. It was coming up to Christmas, it was the most exciting time of my life and the world felt nothing short of magical. I had yet to meet and fall in love with my little princess, but we were amazed with her already, marveling at the feeling of her having hiccups inside my belly, kicking me whenever I tried to sleep, moving around when she heard our voices. It was so out-of-this-would like, stroking my huge belly and knowing that in there was the baby we made, nearly nearly ready to come out and meet us. And much as I loved her then, not even knowing whether this baby inside me was a he or a she; little did I know how much she would impact our lives, how much she would turn my world upside-down, how utterly crazy about her we would become. Sometimes things that were never supposed to make sense just do!

Happiness is...

... relaxing with a good book on the subway!

When You Need An Energy Boost...

... this smoothie is AMAZING! And- provided you have the stuff needed- very quick and easy to throw together, whether for an out-of-the-door-already breakfast, a post gym pick-me-up or just when you fancy something yummy- and healthy!

What You'll Need:

1 small banana
1 tablespoon of organic coconut oil
a splash of organic apple or orange juice
a couple of scoops of organic soy yoghurt/greek yoghurt
a drop or two of Udo's Choice oil
a handful of frozen mango pieces
a dash of raw agave syrup
a spoonful of Linwoods Flaxseed, Almonds, Walnuts, Brazil nuts and Q10 mix
1 teaspoon of organic raw cacao powder (superfood!)

Put everything into blender, whizz and ENJOY!

Note: This was today's recipe, it might add up a tad differently tomorrow or the next day, as it all depends on what I have handy. I tend to mix up flavors and try new things. Sometimes I add a scoop or two of protein powder. Sometimes I add crushed hemp seeds (another great super food). Other times I use frozen berries instead of mango, or use a dash of yummy coconut milk. This is the whole point, figure out what is your favorite, get to know new foods and flavors and have fun with all the yummy healthy food available!

Speaking Of Food...

... THIS is how happy a HIPP dinner will make you! (Note: This was tonight- for the record, sometimes dinner time makes her VERY unhappy- regardless if I am serving the exact same thing that made her jump with joy the previous time she had it! Babies are very complicated creatures!)
