Today's Yummy Mummy Style Crush


I have always been a fan of Liv Tyler, I mean; porcelain skin- hello! And she always looks very effortless and relaxed, like she is really really comfortable in her own skin- and sure, if you're Liv Tyler, why wouldn't you be?! Anyway, I digressed a bit. What I wanted to say is that I love this picture of lovely Liv with her arms full of her little man Milo, who is 5 already- time flies! The picture perfect pair was spotted near their home in New York City.

I HEART Lanvin..



... and Lanvin HEARTS H&M- and what great news that is!! The Designer/High street collaborations have been going strong for a few years now, with H&M being at the forefront of this brilliant idea. The Swedish clothing empire has been roping in designer after designer, Jimmy Choo, Roberto Cavalli, Stella McCartney- to name a few that have all done diffusion lines for the high street giant over the last few seasons.

Now every year any fashionista worth her weight in Manolo's is eagerly awaiting news on who will do it his season. And H&M does not disappoint. Because this November super-nova designer Alber Elbaz, creative director at the AMAZING house of Lanvin, will design a line for the store- and needless to say; it most certainly will be TO DIE FOR. The collection will hit 200 stores worldwide on November 20th- perfectly in time for the party season! Stunning fabulous Lanvin cocktail dresses; here I come!

September Schedule


It is only the second day of the new month, yet already I can tell that September is going to be hectic. What's new, you say. And I agree. This has been a summer of a lot of travels, to say the least! And this month- as expected- will be much the same. Sunday BF/Daddy is coming over- and we can't wait. Even if it has only been about 10 days since we left Ireland, both Nahla and I miss him terribly, and are so happy that this year of being apart is finally coming to an end! October we will finally finally move in together somewhere- uncertain yet whether that will be Ireland or the UK, but at this point we couldn't care less as long as it means we'll be together.

As BF is only in Oslo for two nights, mostly to bring some of mine and Nahla's stuff back to Ireland with him, Nahla and Mummy will Tuesday head up north for a few days, visit friends in Tromsø, as two of Nahla's godmothers live there, and family in Finnsnes, where Bestemor and Bestefar lives. I must admit I am dreading the weather, as it is already practically winter up there- not that they had much of a summer anyway, but still. Note to self: Pack WARM clothes for Nahla!

Then it is back to Oslo for us, before flying to Dublin on the 19th, for a blissful two weeks of Daddy/BF time, visits to friends, shopping and last, but so not least, house-hunting! OMG. Cannot wait. Then back to Oslo again to pack up our stuff and then back to Ireland again. Phew. And that's not even taking into account that little sister T is due her baby on October 13th, meaning we'll be heading back for that too! As I said; B.U.S.Y.

While Mummy is having (yet another) bowl of quinoa porridge, Munchkin is having some spelt bread with organic ham! Told you she was a strange one with food! And for the record, she is totally posing in this picture- as she was screaming with joy a mere two seconds earlier! My little drama queen!

Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star

Well (Too Much!) Spent Wednesday






After a (rather big) shopping spree in Zara this morning, where both Nahla and Mummy ended up with some stylish new pieces for their autumn/winter wardrobes, we needed to relax with a nice latte, well me anyway, and headed to Steam. Steam Coffee bar at the Eger Shopping Centre was voted best coffee bar in Norway earlier this year, so needless to say their latte is the stuff dreams are made of. And as Mummy got her much needed daily injection of caffeine, Nahla had some bread and yoghurt- although not from a spoon, rather she wanted to lick it out of the lid! This girl has some strange notions about her food and eating habits, that's for sure! Check out Nahla's adorable new hat we got in Zara- goes so perfect with a little navy wool dress with a grey print that we also picked up. Meanwhile Mummy indulged in some new leather "treggings"- that's trouser/leggings to all of you that haven't yet brushed up on the new fashion lingo! Perfect with either ballerinas or under smart boots. And now, after a busy afternoon of trying to get some tidying, packing and cleaning done before Daddy/BF arrives on Sunday, Nahla is tucked up in her bed, fast asleep, and Mummy is desperately trying to catch up on some much needed paperwork. But with several candles lit and a nice cup of organic peppermint tea, even boring paperwork doesn't seem so bad!

... and yet all I want to do is play with the DVD remote! Mummy thinks it's a mystery!

Designer Diapers? Yep, You Heard Me



Trust our stylish friends across the pond to come up with this one. And trust me to fall for it! Now, relax, I am not planning to exclusively have Nahla's nappies shipped in from the US, not even I am quite THAT nuts. But rather; imagine what a cute "New Baby" pressie these monogrammed nappies from BabyChix would make?! The possible Kodak moments! I know neither my sister or two other friends that are both due their babies in the new year have decided on names yet, but when they do, I know exactly what to get them!

Autumn Is Here!


September has begun, and it is safe to say that fall has fallen and we can officially embrace the new season. Which I intend to celebrate by heading straight for Zara to pick up some gorgeous new warmer clothes for both Princess and Mummy!
